Peace in our time?

You know how the anonymity of the screen-and-keyboard, and the time-pressures inherent in browsing/feed reading tend to lead to curtailed and heated conversations? We've all seen it; we've mostly participated (though not always purposely). Or, to put it another way, ever commented before you've even read the whole post, let alone all the other comments? Of course you have.

Well, I can go to sleep with serene feelings tonight. Luke Armour asked some good questions about PR education on For Immediate Release; I responded (largely in agreement with him); he wrapped up the conversation this time around. Again, no discord to report.

Forward remains a supportive environment, where the shared common agenda tends to lead to harmony. Yet I'm feeling guilty that some words to Jenn that were meant to be helpful could easily have been misinterpreted. Forgive me if they were. (I meant what I said, but that doesn't mean I should necessarily have said it.)

Why such harmony? Could it be the welcome feminisation of what has been until recently a male-dominated space? (That said, Kami taking on the psuedonymous-one-who-shall-not-be-named was bare-knuckle stuff.) Perhaps it's a temporary lull: I'm sure David will stir me up again tomorrow. Good night.
